Wild Visitors Are Coming!
Our Mobile Zoo Crew visiting your child’s school! Get ready for an awesome animal presentation filled with fascinating wildlife, fun facts, and curious questions. Here’s what your child can expect—and how to get ready for our visit.

Our Mobile Zoo Crew brings wildlife learning to your child's school! Children meet animal ambassadors, discover fascinating facts, and join in by asking questions and responding to the presenter.
The presentation typically lasts 30–45 minutes and features up to five animal ambassadors. It is 100% free for students and schools. Your school will share the schedule and details for your child's event.
Animal photos are optional and help fund our free school program. A $15 photo includes a 6 × 4 print and a digital copy. Follow your school's instructions for ordering and payment.
Preordered photos are taken on the day of the visit, before, after, or between presentations. Prints are normally provided that day; if technical difficulties occur, photos are mailed within one week. Your child does not need to buy a photo or merchandise to enjoy the free presentation.

Before Your Child’s Presentation
Sign and return the permission slip provided by your school. Every participating student needs signed permission. Review any optional photo or merchandise order form and follow your school’s deadline. Help your child think of an animal question to ask, and remind them to listen to the presenter’s instructions.

Field Trips
Visit Coastal Wilds with your school or class and discover all the incredible animal ambassadors at our park!

A class visit to Coastal Wilds gives your child a chance to discover wildlife up close. Our caretakers lead an outdoor experience where students can ask questions, learn about animal behavior, and meet animal ambassadors.
The approximately 90-minute program includes a 45-minute guided walking tour and 45 minutes of hands-on encounters, including our Kangaroo Walkabout.
Before the trip, check your school's clothing, weather, lunch, and travel instructions. Return the signed permission slip and discuss any support needs with your child's teacher. Children can touch some animals during guided encounters; follow the caretakers' instructions.

Field Trip Questions
What does the trip cost?
Admission is $15 for students and chaperones; teachers attend free. Confirm with your school what its trip payment covers.
What paperwork should I return?
Sign the permission slip supplied by your school. It also serves as an order form for optional animal photos, merchandise, or gift shop credit.
Should I pack lunch?
Picnic tables are available for groups eating on site. Your school will confirm whether lunch is part of your child’s itinerary.
Where can I check times and arrangements?
Your school will share departure and return times, deadlines, and plans for the group. Discuss your child’s needs with their teacher before the trip.
Keep the Curiosity Going
Afterward, ask: Which animal surprised you? What did you learn about how it lives? What would you like to discover next? A drawing or family conversation can keep the learning going.
